George K. Brant, CPA, CGFM, while with Allmond & Company between September 1994 and September 1995, gained valuable experience reviewing FDIC contractors' costs billed in support of asset management, loan servicing, property management, and loan underwriting. He performed this work in the role of senior auditor. He gained more direct experience during the period September 1995 to August 1997 as an audit manager with Cox & Associates. He supported U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development by preparing CFO Act financial statements to include developing schedules to support account balances, combining general ledger account balances from several funds and reporting units, and developing crosswalks from federal agencies' general ledger account balance to the Treasury Standard General Ledger account balances to line items on the combined financial statements. In performing these tasks, he was responsible for managing the work of four staff members.

After rejoining Allmond & Company in August 1997, Mr. Brant has been working on engagements involving auditing Federal agencies financial statements or preparing agencies' financial statements. The Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990, the Government Management Reform Act of 1994, the Government Performance and Results Act, and the Federal Financial Management Improvement Act are key legislations that guide the work he performs. He performed as audit manager on the following audits: FY 1997 and 1998 CFO Act Audit of the Federal Prison System financial statements, FY 1997 and FY 1998 CFO Act Audit of the U.S. Small Business Administration financial statements, FY 1997 CFO Act Audit of National Mediation Board. He also performed as audit manager on the accounting support engagements for preparation of FY 1997 through 2003 CFO Act financial statements of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
